Hearst Magazines UK launch partnership to integrate V.me by Visa

  • Visa and Hearst partnership enables readers to make the most of their “me time” with quick, easy and secure online purchases using V.me

London, 24 February 2015: Visa Europe today announces a unique and innovative partnership with Hearst Magazines UK. Hearst will integrate the V.me by Visa, digital wallet service to offer readers quick and easy purchasing opportunities whether they are buying tickets to Cosmopolitan’s FashFest, stunning home décor from the Country Living Marketplace, or booking in to improve their pastry skills at the Good Housekeeping Institute Cookery School.

The first phase of the partnership will launch this spring, when Visa’s partner banks will be able to offer their customers exclusive offers on Hearst publication subscriptions when they register and pay with V.me by Visa. Further phases of the partnership will continue to roll out over the coming months, including the ability to buy from Hearst’s e-commerce channels.

V.me by Visa allows consumers to make online purchases whether they are on-the-go or at home, in just a few clicks. The service makes shopping fast, simple and secure by removing the need for consumers to enter their card numbers, expiry dates and other personal details every time they make a purchase. The partnership with Hearst will give readers a new way to enjoy their ‘me time’ by making it easy to make purchases when they are on the go, or relaxing in the garden.

Wendy Martin, Executive Director V.me by Visa, Visa Europe commented: “We are all pressed for time with the many demands in our everyday lives, so when we have that moment of ‘me time’ and can just relax with our favourite magazines, we’d like to get the most out of those moments of inspiration. We’re excited to work with Hearst Publishing to integrate the V.me by Visa digital wallet service, giving their readers confidence when shopping online.”

Sharon Douglas, New Business Development Director, Hearst Magazines UK commented: “Hearst brands such as Good Housekeeping, Cosmopolitan, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar and Esquire are some of the world’s most trusted sources of information, inspiration and entertainment. Together with Visa, we can give consumers confidence that the V.me by Visa experience will enhance their lives with a convenient and trusted payment option.”

Visa Europe will be displaying demo versions of V.me by Visa at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona from March 2-5. The Visa booth is in Hall 6, booth #6D40.
