As part of our longstanding sponsorship agreement with the
International Olympic Committee, Visa plans, creates and manages
the entire payment system at every venue at every Olympic and
Paralympic Games. This year, for the first time, Visa’s dedicated
Point of Sale network for the London 2012 Games delivered more than
3,000 contactless and electronic payment card POS terminals across
the Olympic and Paralympic Games venues. Through its partnerships
with Samsung and Lloyds TSB, Visa Europe also showcased live mobile
payments during Games time.
