Visa Europe and Visa Inc to launch V.me by
Visa in 2012
London, 17 November 2011 - Visa Europe and Visa
Inc are launching digital wallet services in 2012, providing a
secure and convenient online shopping experience, and today sees
the announcement of the global brand for this new way to pay: V.me
by Visa.
Making online payments possible with a single click, V.me allows
online retailers and merchants to provide users with the simplest
of checkout experiences, which is both secure and convenient,
avoiding the need to enter payment card information every time they
shop online. This is a service flexible enough to be tailored to
fit an individual market’s requirements, but robust enough to
provide impeccable reliability and security.
Visa Europe Marketing and Payment Solutions EVP Mariano Mariano
Dima said: "We are tremendously excited to be announcing the latest
development in the new world of payments. With mobile P2P and alerts, NFC technologies, and
advanced loyalty and e-commerce services, the V.me by Visa digital
wallet service represents another significant step forward for Visa
and its members, and a timely response to consumer demand for
security, convenience, and flexibility."
More details of our digital wallet service launch will be
communicated in the coming months.
