Minimising fraud
With the support of your own bank, the card
issuing banks and Visa itself you can reduce fraud committed
against your business.
Good security begins with the basics. You need to make sure that
your staff use correct card acceptance procedures as well as carry
out basic security checks to secure your computer and accounting
systems.
Your employees also need to understand what a genuine Visa card
looks like – whether it’s a chip card or one with just a magnetic
stripe – and they should be able to identify the card’s security
features.

If you’re an online retailer or have a mail or telephone order
business, you can also put in place a range of security mechanisms
for card and cardholder authentication.
