Regular payments
We make it easy for you to set up regular
payment arrangements with customers.
We estimate that regular payments such as insurance premiums,
subscriptions, mobile phone bills and utility payments account
for around 20 per cent of consumer expenditure.
Accepting these payments by Visa could not be easier. Simply ask
your customers for a Visa card number. Then, once they have agreed
to your terms and conditions and the first payment has been
approved, you’ll be able to collect regular payments until the
customer cancels the subscription.
Using Visa for regular payments is also easy for your customers.
They don’t need to write and post cheques or complete forms, nor do
they need to worry about due dates or missed payments.
Visa Account Updater and Stop service
If you accept regular Visa payments, the Visa Account Updater
and Stop service can help you and your acquiring bank minimise
non-approvals and disputed payments.
The service lets you validate the card details you hold on file
for regular payments prior to authorising them and is currently in
operation in the UK, Ireland, Italy and Greece.
