To help them, we provide a range of risk management tools, programmes and consultancy:
  • We work with member banks and government agencies to maintain a very thorough, real-time overview of fraud levels and trends across the world
  • We provide a wide range of information and consultancy services that all member banks can use
  • We offer a growing range of fraud prevention tools – this includes our fraud screening service Visa Intelligent Scoring of Risk (VISOR)
  • Our member banks work closely with the merchants they represent to ensure they comply with our mandated risk management policies and practices
  • The migration to EMV* chip card technology has been spearheaded by Visa Europe, adding a new layer of protection against fraud
Two key elements of our security processes are:
